The tongs are not plugged in, as evidenced by the fact that the child now has the plug end in her grasp. It seems to be heading towards her mouth, for an experimental chew perhaps. Under the tension, the tongs themselves are shifting on the dresser top, and are getting perilously close to the edge above the girl's head.

Goldy doesn't address any of that however.

She's locked onto Eros, waiting for that inevitable smirk to break across his features.
